“The system’s power comes not from its truth, but from everyone’s willingness to perform as if it were true, and its fragility comes from the same source. When even one person stops performing, the illusion begins to crack. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition.” Canadian prime minister Mark Carney (Davos, 2026)
Who in the right mind would have ever thought that the first salvo heralding the beginning of the end of the American hegemon would be shot, of all people, by a Canadian prime minster and a former governor of not one but two G7 central banks at that. And yet, that was what Mr. Carney exactly did at Davos, 2026.
America is the epitome of hypocrisy. It was founded on hypocrisy and has forever been living and breathing hypocrisy. However, the paradox is not that America has forever been hypocritical starting from its inception. The paradox is that, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, the world sees America for what it claims to be instead of for what it really is.
In the words of Mr. Carney, the paradox is why in the world the world willingly performs in the American charade, knowing full well that it is nothing but a charade.
The American system is nothing but a white supremacist oligarchic system that firmly stands for one and only one purpose – to protect the American oligarch’s interest by any means necessary, including genocide by nuclear Armageddon. And this is what Mr. Carney meant when he said, “if we are not on the menu, we are on the table“.
All resource-rich countries in Africa and Latin America, in addition to Greenland, and Canada are now on the long, extensive, and comprehensive menu of the insatiable American oligarch. Some such countries are trying in vain to get themselves off this menu through submission, believing (as Mr. Carney noted) that the natural logic of international relations is that “the strong can do what they can, and the weak must suffer what they must“.
However, as Mr. Carney emphasized at Devos (2026), “compliance will not buy safety” from the insatiable white beast of America. In fact, the very first victims of an insatiable beast are those closest to the beast, for the simple reason that the beast knows they won’t fight back at least initially, as they would be utterly shocked by the betrayal. This is why, for example, Hitler launched a surprise invasion of Russia after signing a peace deal with Stalin, catching most of the Soviet leadership off guard and gaining astounding victories in the initial stages of the war.
Donald Trump is now openly threatening to be the modern-day Hitler, albeit on a much larger scale and armed with nuclear weapons. What is more, unlike Hitler, Trump, though street smart in petty affairs, is a complete idiot in significant matters, which would make him more dangerous. Besides, unlike the self-made Hitler, Trump is a nepotism baby with overinflated ego unchecked by reality, which would make him even more dangerous.
On the flip side of the coin, Donald Trump has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the world hoodwinked by the American charade. He has proved to be invaluable for deconstructing the painstakingly built false façade of ugly, white supremacist, hegemonic America. Thanks to him, America’s hypocritic veil has now been completely lifted. The whole world now knows that the American system is nothing but an insatiable oligarchic system.
In fact, the beast itself has stopped pretending. It has now become openly and unabashedly anti-democratic and white supremacist, de facto, if not de jure like apartheid South Africa. It may soon be de jure. That is, unless the world follows the timely advice of Mr. Carney, stops performing in the American charade, and stands in unison to dismantle it completely, in exactly the same way it united to dismantle apartheid South Africa.
The American oligarchic apartheid system sustains itself via what can be termed as the “Oligarchic Complex” – a complex military, political, financial, and propaganda system for controlling and exploiting world under the guise of rule-of-law, freedom, democracy, and human right. However, as Mr. Carney correctly noted, the very complex which sustains the American white supremacist, oligarchic beast is also the Achille’s heel of the beast.
When the world, taking the timely advice of Mr. Carnay in earnest with serious intent and full commitment, says enough is enough, when it takes its “signs from its windows” and stops participating in the rituals of the American hegemonic system, when it refuses “to go along to get along” with the American Oligarchic Complex, when it finally realizes that “compliance will not buy it safety” from the American white supremacist beast, all the wealth of the world flowing to the oligarch’s coffers will completely dry up. And when this wealth flow completely dries up, the consumption inflated white supremacist American empire will subsequently implode, losing its principal means of sustenance.
That process has already been initiated and is now going on, as we speak, gaining momentum by the hour, if not by the minute. The Donald Trump phenomenon is nothing but the climax, the highest stage, of American oligarchy hegemony, from which it has nowhere else to go but downhill. Put another way, Trumpism is the “end-of-life rally” of American oligarchic hegemony whereby it becomes highly visible for a very short time before it disappears forever, much like the high alertness a person exhibits for a short time immediately before death.
In effect, Trumpism is a huge racism storm heralding impending death of the American oligarchic hegemony, in the same way a supernova is a huge gravitational storm heralding the death of a star. Just as a star shines billions of times brighter while dying by supernova, the American oligarchy of the apartheid crooks Elon Musk and Peter Theil has now totally engulfed the whole world while dying by Trumpism.
Mark Carney was right on the mark when he said, “we are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition.”
